I fell in love with this quote the moment I saw it. It is so simple, and yet, so true. The perfect start to the weekend. This post will be short and sweet - I don't have much today as I'm busy getting ready for my best friend's wedding, which is in Pittsburgh, and as I'm writing this, I am absolutely procrastinating the packing and preparing I should be doing instead. I'm IN the wedding for god sakes, you think I would be more prepared but I digress.

2. Calypso St. Barth is offering 20% off pre-fall items through 8/3. I am absolutely swooning over this calf hair clutch, and this fur vest - you just cannot go wrong with a fur vest EVER. It comes in two colors and I literally wish I could get both immediately. 

3. Don't forget to check out the Rag & Bone sale before it's over - sooo many good pieces including their famous boyfriend jeans that I've been wearing on repeat this summer.

4. 4 steps for investing, for all of you girls who feel like stocks and the market are a foreign language. Ya feel me?

5. If you don't get the emails for the Julie Vos Friday deals, then you need to sign up. She offers about 6-8 of her pieces at an extreme discount every Friday - such a good deal!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends! I'm doing Friday favorites a little differently today due to me having far too many things I want to share with you guys (work has been slow this week, ok!?), plus the incredible amount of good sales going on right now. Looks like all the stores are clearing out their summer pieces to make room for the amazing fall styles that are starting to roll in....

1. PJs that double as an adorable outfit? Um, yes please. 

2. I've had a renewed love for Pinterest this week - I've been pinning like a mad woman. I have no idea what's gotten into me! So much "feel good" inspiration here, and of course I've updated my ever growing wish list with some goodies.

3. Rag & Bone, you've done it again. I've been wearing these shorts on repeat. I'm utterly obsessed with them. They are by far the best purchase I've made all summer, and I just wish they came in other colors! Maybe I'll pick up the One Teaspoon version next? 4. The espadrilles I've been drooling over are finally on sale (+ an extra 40% off that price)! I've only been able to find about two cute pairs of closed toe espadrilles, the other being these (aren't those ankle ties perfection!?). The colors of the J.Crew pair are so perfect and neutral though - navy or cream anyone? I'm leaning towards cream... 

5. At first glance, I thought this was the most perfect LBD, but it's actually a Marysia suit and Isabel Marant skirt. The most chic beach look ever? Yup.

6. I'm loving the super preppy bikinis this year. I'd love to add this monogrammed top or this frilly seersucker combo to my collection. Take me to Nantucket!

7. This new and upcoming designer, Mignonne Gavigan is incredible. Her creations are so insanely unique and cool - no wonder she's so successful after only 3 months. This necklace would be the perfect accessory to pretty much every piece in my whole neutral colored closet...

9. You know those mirrored turquoise or blue Ray Bans that EVERYONE and their mother have been wearing? Don't deny it - you do (but if you don't, you can see them here and here). Friday Favorites

1. I have a new blog obsession. Big time. This week, I discovered FIGTNY. Her style? Amazinggg. If you follow my Pinterest account, you'll see that I probably pinned one of every single one of her outfits. She makes neutrals, leggings, leather, and flats look as chic as ever, and the photography is incredible of course. I always love adding a new blog to my daily reading list!

2. Nothing better than some gold accents in interior decor. I'm lusting after every room in this post, but the workspace is by far my favorite. The rug, the chair, the gold lamp... To die for! I'd copy the whole look if I could (and if I had the space - damn NYC apartments!). 

3. I have honestly found one of the best candles ever. I discovered this when I visited NYC last year. While staying at the Mondrian SoHo, I stumbled into Miansai on Crosby street. The whole store smelled like heaven, so naturally, I had to buy whatever that sent was, and it ended up being this Salt Flats candle. I think I can say that this candle highly rivals the Diptyque candles for sure, at a slightly less expensive price tag (and larger size). Oh, and did I mention they are made in Brooklyn? Too cool.

4. Hallie never posts something I don't like, but when I saw this NYC guide, I got a little more excited than usual. I definitely plan on trying out most places on her list (for sure the Eva Gentry Consignment shop - 40% off the entire store through the end of July!?!). 5. I fail at eyeliner on a constant basis. I've never been skilled at this category, nor have I ever been able to pull off a successful cat eye/wing tip look. Somehow, the wing part ends up looking like I stabbed myself in the corner of my eye with a fat smudgy eyeliner pen. So ever since I saw that Benefit came out with this eyeliner (and tested out a friends), I was hooked. It makes the wing tip EASY. Thank god for Benefit, and for these tutorials for those of us who need the extra help...

6. This is the perfect, easy breezy, summer look. The main thing I like about rompers is that you don't have to even worry about a top/bottom combo. They take care of that for you. All you need to do is accessorize. They make my daily "what the hell do I wear" crisis non-existent. This Joie version is so classy and chic. The silky, crepe fabric and cinched ankles make this an easy piece to wear with flats or heels/wedges, and the color it comes in is so neutral and pretty. I'd pair it with a white blazer and wear it to work any day.
