Friday Favorites

It's that time of the week again! TGIF, seriously. Below are just a few of my favorite things this week to help you procrastinate today...

1. I'm absolutely in love with this outfit. Like, beyond in love. I need this skirt/top combo immediately. How amazing is the mixed stripes combo?! 

2. Do your weekends consist of chugging Pedialite, vitamin B, water, bananas, coconut water, etc, etc to recover from the night before? Well if you've got a little extra to spend, the IV Doc will come to your place and fix that hangover within the hour. Yes, the IV Doc actually makes hangover house calls... What will they come up with next?

3. This is my pick for outfit of the week. So casual but chic. Those cutoff shorts are to die for - I've had my eye on them for a while. The Chanel espadrilles? If only... 

4. A round up of all the best design blogs if you're looking for a little inspiration (like I always am). Some of my favs are included in this list, like A Beautiful Mess and A Cup of Jo. You can never stop improving your home, am I right?

5. So this isn't some interesting fun link really, but I am on the hunt, big time, for a new camera. It's time. I've been putting it off for months now, but I really need to just bite the bullet and do it. I'm leaning towards this Samsung one, probably because I'm obsessed with the look and all the capabilities it has, but looks aren't anything. Has anyone used it before? I've also got my eye on the old faithful, Canon Rebel T3i. Any recommendations or tips?

6. I've found the most perfect LBD. But I'm having deja vu... I believe I've said this many times before. You can't ever have too many LBD's, right? This one comes in a gorgeous cream color too... It's taking everything I have to not buy both! Michelle Mason always has the most incredible pieces, I don't know if there is anything in her collection that I don't like!

Friday Favorites

1. PureWow is my new FAVORITE email subscription. They send an email (or a couple) every day, depending on what you sign up for. There is PureWow for certain cities, and even a summer Hamptons guide. I get the general one, the NYC and the Hamptons subscriptions, and I literally cannot wait to open each email every day. No matter what, they always send something extremely useful or interesting (that I of course want to save or book mark). The emails are also short, sweet, and to the point. They usually only have one topic or piece of info to share, which I love because otherwise I'd never read them. If you want to read up on the genius who started the company, you can do so here.

2. This look. There is nothing better than a LWD in the summer, and I am beyond in love with this one. It's a little pricey, but I'm going to keep my eye on it until it goes on sale. I'm in love with her blog - it's perfection. Such simple, classic style. If you're looking for a couple more budget friendly white dresses, check out this selection here. 

3. Gluten-free, vegan, banana bread. Makes my mouth water just looking at it! Sarah never fails to have some unbelievable recipes, and this one is right up there with my favorites. It looks so incredibly delicious, I just want to run home and make some right now. And it's not too many ingredients, as well as being a super uncomplicated recipe.

4. Dallas Shaw's shoe racks. They are SO cool! I know, such a weird thing to be loving, but with my smaller apartment and all, this is exactly what I've been looking for. Now how do I make them myself? Any DIYers out there have ideas?! The rest of herhome tour is gorgeous too of course - loving her eclectic taste.

5. This is exactly what I need to learn how to do: embrace rest in a culture of busy. All most of us do is go, go, go, and sometimes we need to learn to chill out, and take a little downtime. I am the worst at this. If I have down time, I automatically think I need to be doing something. The only time I know how to rest is on vacation... so can I take a vacation already!?

6. Ben & Jerry's has new flavors. Is anyone as excited about this as I am? They're SNL themed, and Lazy Sunday is the main new flav, but I won't give it away. Then I got going looking at their full page of flavors and I had to keep myself from running to the next Duane Reade to buy a couple pints. My ice cream obsession is a tad ridiculous. Has anyone tried Jeni's by the way? I digress.

Friday Favorites

My favorite part of the week is here: my friday favorites post! I've got some cute things, inspiring things, and just good informational things today. Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

1. It's spring officially as of yesterday! No better time than now to clean out your closet. Out with the old and in with the new. This Everygirl post has some amazing tips for helping you to rid yourself of pieces you no longer need (even if you're a hoarder like me who likes to keep everything "just in case"). You know where you'll find me this weekend...

2. Three words: black matte walls. Nate Berkus knows what he's doing, and he's got the top interior trend of this week according to the new show, The Fabulist, starring Kristin Cavallari. I know, black walls sound extreme, but you just have to see how Nate styles them in his LA home. So gorgeous... and if you don't think you can do a full wall, why not a black matte door or a bathroom accent wall? 

3. I know, at first glance, that photo is a bit awkward you could say? But believe me, this turned out to be the sweetest and cutest video I've seen in a while. I even watched it a couple times. Make sure you turn the sound on, because the comments the couples make are so adorably awkward and sweet.

4. Another adorable mommy Instagram- think paper dress girl but with yoga poses. I'm not sure where these moms are thinking of these things, but god they're cute. 

5. "One belongs to New York instantly; one belongs to it as much in five minutes as in five years". This love letter to NYC is perfection. If you live in the city, have ever lived in the city, want to live in the city, or just love it, you'll appreciate this.

6. My friend Raine just started a lifestyle blog featuring her interior design skills, Nuskin products, and cooking. She wrote a review on one of my favorite NuSkin products, the Nu Color Nutriol eyelash treatment. It's a treatment you put on before your mascara that nourishes your eyelashes.
