FRIDAY FAVORITES

Dana October 11, 2013

Happy Friday & TGIF! So ready for the weekend to be here (as always). My mom is visiting this weekend to help me finalize my move in and start decorating the new condo. We have a ton of fun things planned for the weekend, so I couldn't be more excited! Some of my favorites things for this week:

1. I received this

Tibi

image in an email last week, and immediately fell in love with this leather/skirt combination. Isn't it absolutely gorgeous? They're killing it this Fall with their

cocktail dressing

options. I can't wait for this printed

skirt

 to go on sale...

2. I am SO excited to say that this week is

Columbus Fashion Week

!!! I know it's probably nothing compared to NYFW, but Columbus has been really stepping it up in the fashion category lately, and I can't wait to see the designs during the finale runway show on Saturday, which my mom and I will be attending. Stay tuned for some photos from that event!

3. I, like many other people, have an obsession with Pumpkin flavored everything as soon as October hits every year. These

Pumpkin Squares

(with candy corn flavored M&Ms), look absolutely incredible, and not too complicated to make. I will of course sub gluten free flour though. Another easy recipe is

these

pumpkin cookies - only two ingredients! And for all you Starbucks PSL lovers... I have found the way around spending $4.50 for a drink. Order their Pike Place coffee and ask for the Pumpkin Spice syrup to be added. Half the cost, and just as delicious!

4. As you all know, I am moving, and have been big into decorating ideas lately.

The Huffington Post

lists their top 43 Best Websites For Furniture, Home Goods & Decor. I couldn't have found this at a more perfect time.

5. This week, I just discovered

this

awesome Etsy print shop, full of gorgeous (and inexpensive) photography. They have the prettiest little prints, for about $30 a piece. I am in love with

this

 beautiful horse shot,

this

 London shot, and

this

swan shot. Etsy is a great place to find pretty much anything vintage, home made, or at a discount. One of my favorite sites.

6. A gold accent closet? So pretty. I'm loving this

DIY

closet idea. It's pretty darn easy to do also. Definitely an idea for the new white shelving in my closet.

Apartment 34

is such a great site for home decor and anything else. One of my top favorite blogs, so if you haven't visited it yet, definitely check it out.

xx

FRIDAY FAVORITES

Dana September 20, 2013

1. I love everything about Fall, especially the seasonal foods that come around: cider, maple syrup, pumpkin everything... These

apple cider cups

look so delicious. Fill them with some hot cider, or with the

cinnamon toast

cocktail I mentioned in my other post, and you have the perfect fall drink.

2. I've been lusting hard for a bar cart, but I can't decide which style I want.

This

 vintage gold one from

Etsy

is gorgeous, but I can't decide if I want to go with something more modern like

this

to hold all my drinking essentials. They are so complete opposite, and I'm totally torn. Which one should I go with??

3. The

Joie

Fall sweater collection is pretty spot on. Don't the textures just look amazing? After receiving this image in an email, I of course had to visit their site. I now want literally every single sweater on there. My top 3 favorites are

this

,

this

 and

this

 one. Talk about shopping problems...

4. Since the age of 5, I've been an avid horseback rider, so I've always been a huge fan of the equestrian boot trend. I really cannot believe I didn't think of this idea before

Coach

 did: the convertible

Leona

boots. They look like riding boots, but can be worn as tall boots or you can remove the shaft, and wear them as booties. I literally used to wear my riding boots and knee high leather chaps all over the place, and they look identical to these Coach boots. Why has it taken so many years for someone to come up a fashion version of the real thing!? Totally genius.

5. Ever since my trip up to Michigan, I've had this weird obsession with decorated antlers. I found some in a store called

Lake Affect

, but they were over $100 so I just couldn't bring myself to spend the dough (by the way, I was seriously in love with every single thing in that store, so I'm impatiently waiting for their site to launch). Recently, I was scanning my usual 548957945 daily blogs, and came across a

DIY

decorated antler tutorial. Talk about awesome. I also searched Etsy of course, and came across some gorgeous painted ones

here

 and

here

.

6. So I have some very exciting news that I will be sharing in a couple days or so, but a little sneak peak is that I am MOVING! The other day, I came across a website that had

5 home decor apps

that you can actually download on your phone! Seriously the coolest thing ever. These will be so helpful when I start my move and the decorating process.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you all have a great weekend.

FRIDAY FAVORITES

Dana August 23, 2013

1. This

Dress the Population

dress is SO gorgeous. When I saw this in an email that came through my inbox from Nordstrom, I had to check it out. Call me crazy, but I've already decided that this is in the running for NYE 2014...

2. I've been dying to try this gluten free, no bake,

blackberry cheesecake

recipe. It's my favorite kind of recipe: simple, easy, and sweet (I have the worst sweet tooth known to man), and better yet, its somewhat healthy! The crust is made with coconut oil and chia seeds (on top of a few other ingredients). Have I sparked the interest of any of you health nuts yet?

3. I am in LOVE with all the sketches by

Inslee

. She is so incredibly talented and creative, I've spent lots of time lately scrolling through them. I would die to have one of my own.

4. This website is seriously cool and innovative. Coming from an Ad Agency girl,

PSFK

is the go-to for any breaking news on the advertising, retail, design and technology industries. Think articles like: "Alexander Wang Crowdsources New Bag Design", "Narrow Lofts Proposed to Fill Gaps Between Existing Buildings" and "Superfood Packets Provide all the Necessary Nutrition for Daily Life". Trust me - if you  are in the creative industry and like new gadgets and innovative stuff (and even if you're not), you'll probably love this site.

5. I'm loving

these

DIY glitter dipped mason jars. Aren't they so pretty? They would add a sparkle to any home, and they're so inexpensive and easy to make!

6. Is anyone else as tired of hearing about juice cleanses as I am? Yes, completely natural juice (especially the green kind), is pretty darn healthy for you, but it also eliminates all the fiber from the fruit or vegetable you are drinking.

Here

are 8 tips to detox WITHOUT juicing, fasting or restricting.

MindBodyGreen

is one of my favorite go-to health websites.

7.

Song Saa

Private Island. My dream vacation. Pretty much end of story there. Someone take me there now please?

8. I am in LOVE with J.Crew's fall look book. This snapshot came up on my Instagram a few days ago which instantly convinced me that I now need that

clutch

.

9. I have been lusting after pretty much every single one of the

Max Wagner

prints for a while now. His photography is bright, clean, happy, and just perfect. I want about 30 of his prints for my condo - not sure where I'd fit them all though. Check out his complete portfolio

here

(but just remember that I warned you...)

Happy Friday! I'm heading up to Buffalo, my hometown, for the weekend, and I couldn't be more excited to just spend some time with the family. Hope you all have a great weekend!
